Die Merrily
From the marshy North Gate quarter of the Old City came Syr Calcaris, his crest the chanticleer — spurred, proud, and forever crowing at the dawn, a fitting mirror of the knight himself. His banners of white and midnight blue flew above a stronghold famed for its splendour.
Calcaris was a knight of the flourish, driven by a dashing and reckless delight that turned every battle into spectacle. Where others measured, he leapt; where others waited, he pressed. His nature was joy in fury — the rapture of a man who found meaning in the clash itself.
Yet Syr Calcaris was no mere pretender, but a champion whose name rang among the mightiest houses of the realm. Even so, his fellowship hungered for the highest of crowns — so often within reach, so often just beyond his grasp.
To face him was to face not only iron but daring artistry, and even his defeats became part of his legend.
Restless, proud, and forever striving, Syr Calcaris burned with a destiny not yet fulfilled.
